DESCRIPTION:The Clover Fold is a Sioux Falls-based alternative bluegrass band known for their blend of folk\, rock\, and country music\, featuring instruments like the lap steel\, upright bass\, banjo\, and mandolin. Formed from members of other local bands such as the Union Grove Pickers\, Snakebeard Jackson\, and Condor\, the group released their debut album\, Windfall\, in 2024. The band’s lineup includes Sean McFarland (vocals)\, Erin Castle (vocals)\, Travis Jamison (upright bass)\, Kevin Jansa (guitar and banjo)\, Connor Pederson (mandolin)\, and Andy Shaw (lap steel). \n \nw/ Elsa Rae \n  \nElsa Rae is a multi-genre singer-songwriter native to Sioux Falls\, SD. Her music quickly came into acclaim with her 2011 debut album “Plays Tiny Instruments”\, and she’s played all over the U.S. since then. As a self-taught instrumentalist\, her guitar playing has a unique edge\, while her voice has been compared to the likes of Norah Jones\, Edie Brickell\, Roberta Flack\, and Feist. Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Joe King has been the principal member of the group\, with a vast number of musicians cycling in and out of the band over the years. Supposedly\, the band name ‘Queers’ was used simply to poke fun at what he called the “Art F*g” community in NH. That same brand of humor and inanity has become a staple of The Queers music\, who have produced songs such as “Can’t Stop Farting“\, “Born To Do Dishes“\, and “I Didn’t Get Invited To The Prom” in their own Ramones-esque style. While some punk rock bands attempt to use their music to impart a social or political message\, King has made it clear that The Queers exist simply to play punk rock for the fun of it. \nFacebook RSVP
